Festive period is not the same without some novelty pieces of clothing, is it? This year both the little man and I are proudly wearing these adorable Christmas hats from F&F – a brand I am a fan of and always find something adorable for Antek to wear from their offer.

See, these hats are actually pretty special. Whenever you buy one of the festive hats (also called ‘A Hat With A Heart’), £1 off every sale is donated to food bank charities. F&F is trying to donate at least £200,000 for those in desperate need of food this Christmas. This project is in association with FareShare and The Trussell Trust.

FareShare focuses on rescuing good food, which would otherwise go to waste, and redistributing it to charities like women’s refuges, homeless shelters and children’s breakfast clubs. These charities are both helping to break the cycle of poverty. While The Trussell Trust‘s network of over 400 food banks aims to stop hunger by providing a minimum of three days’ emergency food to people in crisis who have been referred by front-line professional agencies such as children’s centres, housing associations or Citizens Advice.

I am so proud to be wearing my Singing Penguin hat (yes, it sings!), which at such a tiny cost helps those in need. And Antek is mildly obsessed with his Elf hat and the little bells that ring every time he shakes his head or. It definitely feels that much more festive!

So why don’t you get yourself #hatwithaheart and help others have a wonderful Christmas, too?
