Yesterday my friend Rebecca and I made our way to the cobbles of Somerset House to see the start of the London Fashion Weekend. The event takes place shortly after the London Fashion Week is finished, so the place oozes with glamour, amazing street style and endless bubbles.
After having our delicious champagne cocktails at the nearby One Aldwych Hotel, we scouted the grounds to see what was awaiting us. Brands and designers proudly displayed their spring and summer collections, from clothes to accessories, jewellery, handbags and shoes, tempting us to purchase a thing or two.
And while I enjoyed seeing all of these amazing garments, trinkets and accessories, it was the people watching and style stalking that was even more fun.
But my favourite part of the day was attending the catwalk shows – my very first ones. I will write about those in a separate post, so please stay tuned!
